Special Effects upon Page Enter IE Credits: Dynamic Drive Description: With the introduction of IE 4.x, transitions came along. Transitions are IE 4.x exclusive effects that are applied to the entire document upon page enter, similar to those often seen on TV when switching between scenes. Demo: To allow you to easily sample all of the 24 transitions and pick out the one you want to use, we've created the following transition sampler. Use the list on the left to select a transition, and the effect will be shown in the mini window below. When you see one you like to use, click "I want this!", and copy the code under "Directions".
Directions: Simply insert the below into the <head> section of your page. You can change the duration of the effect from the default 4 seconds to another by changing "Duration=4" to another number. Remember, the effect will be applied to the entire document, and only while the surfer enters the page from another page (pressing reload will not activate it).
